This year we had "two" spring breaks! Kylee,Rick and the kids came first during Connor's break followed by Deren, Monica and the boys the following week during Breyden's. Michelle and Dagen hit both weekends with Crew so they could see everyone. We had so much fun! The weather was all over the place ( what's new) so the kids experienced, shorts and t-shirts washing the car to throwing on coats cause it's snowing outside! We ate pretty much nonstop, watched movies, went to the aquarium, baked cookies, got haircuts,(pedicures for all the girls), watched endless basketball, went to the park, went shopping, played Wii (alot), the girls watched chick flicks when we couldn't watch another basketball game, guys played golf, moved rock, we ate some more, changed diapers, bathed kids, wrangled 5 dogs, and generally had a blast! Now, however, everyone has gone home, settled back into their jobs and lives so it's time to pay the piper so to speak! Lots of laundry, vacumning dog hair, cleaning out all the leftovers from the fridge, picking up toys and wiping little handprints off of practically every flat surface in this house! Hmmm, maybe I'll wait to do that later. Those little handprints are just so ---darn----cute!

Ice Can Be Pretty
I know it's almost spring and don't get me wrong----I LOVE LOVE LOVE the warmer weather and everthing starting to turn green, but I also love what winter does to our pond. Even tho it is in the 60's this morning, four days ago it was 15 degrees when Dave left for work! (That's Oklahoma for ya!) Anyway, I looked out side that icy morning and saw this vision of "beautifulness" in our koi pond. Dave had stretched a net over the pond in the fall to keep leaves out of the pond and the icy wind did a little bit of water sculpting during the night with one of the pond fountains. I thought it was just gorgeous! It lasted pretty much the whole day. I don't think I'd ever want to live in a place that stayed the same all the time. I love the constantly changing seasons and weather! It keeps life interesting!
